Painting is a discourse between myself and the canvas. Each work begins by quieting expectations, opinions, and definitions of what is "good" so I can create from a place that feels true. I trust the process as much as the materials, allowing gesture, color, and forms to uncover something that is felt rather than defined. In that exchange, I find my voice reflected back to me.​

Painting is a way of opening windows, looking inward to better understand myself, while creating space for others to find their own meaning. My work explores the tension between power, femininity, optimism, reality, and my unwavering belief in possibility. Each work is both a personal inquiry and an invitation into that conversation.

Originally from Downeast Maine, I grew up immersed in the awe of nature and the expansiveness of solitude, both of which still shape how I see. I now live in Wilmington, North Carolina, where I am a graphic designer and painter.
